A beautiful quaint hotel. Nice rooms with small but nice balconies. Good restaurant. Helpful front office staff. Room servicing was a serious problem if your schedule doesn't match theirs. They evidently don't start early or work past early afternoon. So if you need to be in your room mid day they will either hound you or just skip you.
You also get rationed air conditioning. It automatically turns off when you leave so it makes no sense to have times it will not work. It ruined the experience for us.
Rooms are ver noisy you can hear neighbours very well, choice of breakfast is too small also only one coffeemachine who take 45 sec for small cup so pressing 2, 1,5 minute if on busy time really annoying people are waiting. People working there looking to much phone instead of looking if something missing at breakfast. Not 4 star only 3
Modern, classy hotel in the residential area of Rome. Limited parking. Street parking available. Relaxing tub available rooms. Balcony with just enough privacy for a romantic coffee. Great breakfast and roof top bar. Not walking distance to any local attractions. Luxury, yes, immersive, no.
This is probably the most stingest hotel I've ever come across. We stayed there for 2 nights. On the first day, we were out and about and were back in the room around 3pm. The AC was not working, so I called reception, where I was told "it's under maintenance, and will be back on at 5pm" - note, this was a lie! The AC did surely come on at 5pm, and half way through the night it automatically was turned off. On the second day of our stay, I called the reception in the morning at 10am, to see why the AC was not on, to which they responded "the AC is purposely turned off in all rooms and will only be turned back on at 5pm as per hotel protocols". This has to be the most stingest hotel, that robs money off people, and intentionally turns the AC off so guests can suffer in the humid and heat. On top of that, service is slack and no staff is present during breakfast. The menu for breakfast is also awfully small. The bathroom requires maintenance work, as it was leaking while showering. The phone in the room was also faulty and they wouldn't come to check on it. Do yourselves a favour, and do not book this hotel.
I wanted to like this hotel as the overall aesthetic is pleasant. That said there were a few odd encounters where I would not be able to recommend it for those that will be traveling with their significant other on business.
Upon arrival after 20 hours in transit we had an initial unusual exchange at the front desk about two people sleeping in a room with one bed. The stay was pre-arranged by a corporate travel team so I had no influence on the room selection (nor did it matter really-- we were completely flexible). One or two beds was fine.
We are an LGBTQ+ couple and didn't necessarily want to get into personal details so we went and dropped the bags and also inspected the room to see what the staff was referring to. It offered a standard queen size bed which was easily able to accommodate 2 people so we didnt understand the concern and settled in.
Later, as we left to find nearby dinner we were stopped and required to pay an "extra supplement" fee for my partner. The fee was ridiculous as it came with no breakfast or unique amenities that warranted such a substantial extra fee.
I personally have worked operations in hotels that cater to business/corporate travel. The only time I've seen this type of surprise fee added at check-in is with large family sized rooms or suites that can sleep 4+ guests. (Or in cases where breakfast is being included which is understandable) For 2 people though-- really?
Later that night I reviewed their website to understand how they have their pricing categories configured by occupancy. The supplement online for the same room was HALF of what we were billed.
The next day when I asked the team member to explain why I was charged 2x that price at check-in they were more interested in learning about what type of phone I had than actually reviewing the discrepancy. I don't think they had any form of real policy that they could reference with a fee structure.
In a nutshell, there was no resolution or explanation for why the fees were different between their website and front desk. From that point on we focused on sightseeing and completing the work trip knowing the stay at this hotel would not be the highlight. At checkout we had another fee billed for additional local taxes which I didn't even question because we were just ready to move on with our travels.
Unrelated to the above:
The location was quite a long walk from the major tourist sites-- 30+ minutes and the colosseum closer to an hour. The metro is also a 10+ minute walk which makes it not very effective in saving time to get to these places either.
A pro I will say is that the team member freshening rooms daily was very friendly and the highlight of our stay.
Nice hotel but breakfast was a little let down. Staff not really present nor welcome or particularly friendly. My expectations for that price category are higher.
The hotel was very clean however the room was very small. During my one week stay the air-conditioning did not work very well as it was very humid unless you opened a window on the cooler nights. The mattress was very firm and I could feel the inner springs, so it wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. The staff were great and very helpful. Not bad but I would choose a different hotel if I decide to return to Rome.
Large comfortable room. Breakfast buffet was okay. No on-site parking. Restaurants were within walking distance. Taxi required to get to main attractions such as Trevi fountain & Spanish steps, too far to walk.
